英语笔记（三十）
我们来对比一下这两组非常类似的表达方式，一个是很久之前就学
过的 pay attention to，第二个是 notice。pay attention to 字面意思是付
出注意力在某件事或者某个东西上，可以直接翻译为“注意”；notice 可
以翻译为“注意到”或者“察觉到”的意思。
它们的区别有两点。第一，pay attention to 可以理解为是一个刻意
的“注意”的动作，你必须有意识地做出这个动作才可以叫做 pay
attention to 某个东西。而 notice 相对来说就没有那么刻意，可能是不
经意间看到、听到或者注意到了某个东西或某件事情，不是一个绝对的
刻意动作。第二点区别在于 pay attention to 可以理解为是“注意”这
个动作，是一个过程，而 notice 是“注意到”，也就是“注意”这个动
作所带来的结果。所以它们一个是过程，一个是结果，一个是刻意做出
的动作，一个没那么刻意。
它们之间的区别非常类似我们之前总结过的三组动词，分别是 look
at，see; look for, find; listen to, hear。可以分别翻译为“看”、“看到”、
“寻找”、“找到”、“听”以及“听到”。左边的四个词都是动作，都是
过程，右边的四个词都可以理解为是这四个动作所带来的结果。
